This helps us decide what to improve. This data is associated with a randomly generated session identifier, not your name or email address, and your IP address is not stored in an identifiable form.
With your consent, we also use Google Analytics (GA4), a third-party analytics service provided by Google, to help us understand visitor numbers and how people use the site. Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id>, which are typically retained for around 14 months. These cookies collect information such as pages visited, time on site, device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address; Google may process this data on servers outside the UK and EEA. Importantly, the Google Analytics script is only ever loaded in your browser — and therefore only ever sets these cookies — after you choose “Accept all” in our cookie banner. If you choose “Necessary only” or dismiss the banner, the script is never loaded and no Google Analytics cookies are set.
Functional (optional)
With your consent, we may use cookies or browser storage to remember preferences that make the site more pleasant to use — for example, map view settings or display options.
Embedded content
Some pages include embedded content from third parties — for example, interactive maps. These third parties may set their own cookies or use similar technologies when you interact with that content.
